A route of much contrast with an abundance of wildlife. The Anderton Boat Lift was re-opened in 2002 after extensive renovation and carries 2 boats at a time to the River Weaver below. A breathtaking look at 19th century engineering at its best.

This route can be taken in one of our short breaks and offers a great opportunity to see some fantastic scenery, an abundance of wildlife including herrons and kingfishers, and of course the famous Anderton Boat Lift at the end of the outward cruise.

Because this cruise can be taken at an easy pace, it allows for more time to view the various attractions and stop off at the many canalside pubs along the way!
